my meaningful morning
I savor sweet dreams and sound sleep. However, I’ve discovered that rising early brings more sweetness than any dream. Tucked in the corner of our guest bedroom is a chair. This chair may look like any old chair to visitors. It is actually a vintage corduroy yard sale find and fits my short stature just perfectly. Beside my chair are prayer beads, a journal, Bibles, and devotionals. Yet sometimes I simply sit, breathe, and pray. Making space for God by finding myself in this sacred space brings clarity to each new day and has created for me a holy ritual.
