my meaningful morning
When my son was a baby (22 years ago) I no longer had the option of heading out for yoga class or dance class whenever I felt the need. So, somewhat out of desperation, I plopped my little guy in his bouncy seat and intuitively began my journey through sun salutations, triangle postures and tree pose while gazing at his soulful face. This was the beginning of my home yoga practice—in the midst of crying and yawning and gurgling (oh my!) For the past 22 years, I have faithfully continued this rhythm as my way of greeting the morning—at home or on the road—preparing myself with deep breaths and soft gazes to embrace the gift of each day.
