my meaningful morning
One of my favorite morning rituals I’ve done is walking through my neighborhood. I would spend 20 minutes each morning, before I checked email or anything else, to ground myself in my body, in nature, and in my place in the world. I would walk the same few blocks just letting myself enjoy the present beauty around me. I noticed that this practice had a huge impact both on how peaceful and connected the rest of the day felt for me and on how it birthed a sense of belonging and home for me in my neighborhood. Even on cold and wet days, I’d look forward to these morning walks to see what beauty and truth awaited me.
